Yeah, I also think it has something to do with the players. After staying in their lanes for 10 minutes, doing nothing but CSing, many people want something to happen. That's why I think most of the action happens in the midlane. Similar to this video's explanation, it's easier to see what's going on in the midlane.

my winrate with ex machina is 100% (yes im kinda low mmr and that 100% is a handful of matches only cuz who reaches 60 mins every time) and its because i dont try to completely min max and juz ex machina if even 1 of my vital item is on cd like bkb instead of trying to sue the other items and potnetionally dying due to no bkb
